Oil Soot Ink

Ink Color:
A highest-grade oil soot ink made from carefully selected ultra-fine particles of pure oil soot.

Light Ink (Diluted with Water):
The light black has a purplish tone with a warm, reddish nuance. It has a sense of depth and spreads smoothly, making it especially suitable for kana calligraphy.

The design is based on the Tortoiseshell and Mother-of-Pearl Inlaid Octagonal Box from the Shōsōin Imperial Treasures.
