The Sennelier Oil Sticks are oil paints in stick form, containing top-quality pigments, safflower oil with low yellowing, and mineral waxes.
Easy to draw without using a brush, the smooth feel and vivid colors expand the range of expression. These are ideal for bold mark-making and drawing.
The Fluorescent & Metal Set offers metallic colors with a beautiful shine and bright fluorescent colors.
These regular-size 38ml oil sticks are highly recommended for adding highlights to your artwork.

*Oil sticks are either opaque (O) or transparent (T) depending on the pigment properties of each color.
*Lightfastness is indicated in three levels at ★.
Before use, the surface film of the oil sticks should be peeled off.
After a few days of non-use, the film will reappear on the surface to protect and preserve the color.
Since safflower oil is used as a binder, painted oil sticks will dry after approximately 2~5 days, depending on the thickness of the paint and the surrounding environment.
Unlike oil pastels, no fixative is required, but as with regular oil paints, a varnish for oil painting can be applied as a finishing touch after a minimum of 6 months of drying time.
Also, oil sticks can be applied in layers, and colors will turn out beautifully if the next color is painted over the top after the bottom color has dried.
They can be used alone or in combination with regular oil paints.
It can be used on all types of substrates used for oil paintings, such as canvas.
Various methods of expression are possible, such as mixing colors directly on the canvas, diluting with turpentine, or adding painting oil or other oil mediums to create transparency and sheen.
It can be layered like oil paint, making it suitable for techniques such as sgraffito, where the top color is scratched off to reveal the bottom color, as well as painting with brushes or painting knives.
