Description

The stone used for this ink stone originates from Qingzhou Prefecture during the Tang Dynasty and was later mined in Shandong Province. It features delicate, beautifully flowing lines across a red or yellow base. Pieces with red patterning on a yellow base are especially rare and highly prized, but today, high-quality stone from these historical quarries has been depleted.

This inkstone has high density and a smooth surface. It offers exceptional ink-grinding performance, producing a beautiful ink quality.

【How to Use】
Apply a small amount of water to the surface of the inkstone, then rub an inkstick gently in a circular motion on top of the inkstone to produce ink with beautiful black Sumi color and texture. Next, transfer the ink to a container immediately such as a white porcelain plate and rinse the inkstone with warm water as soon as you have finished rubbing the inkstick to keep it clean.
