This ink stick is made with the dispersion of carbon particles constricted to the maximum extent so that it creates strength and thickness of the tone of sumi with quietness and overall lightness harmonized with the beauty of the color of carbon itself. It has a graceful burgundy black color with an austere elegance that gives it the reddish (warmth) opaque strength and thickness. It can be used with any shade of black, thick, medium, or thin. We seek to materialize the expression of the sumi color thickness by focusing especially on the shin (the core, the stroke by the brush) and the nijimi (blurring around the edge of the stroke). This 輩輩封候 (Haihaihoko) ink stick can be used for Kanji (Chinese characters), Kana (Japanese syllabary characters) (on processed paper), Bokuga (ink-wash painting), and other application. Manufactured in 1984.
