Description

Oguni Mulberry Paper (Snowbleached) was made by using the Kozo plant, which was exposed to the snow through a technique called snow bleaching. Kozo plants are bleached by the ultraviolet rays and the unqiue bleaching ability of snow.

Unlike Washi (Japanese paper) that are made from chemically bleached materials, Oguni Mulberry Paper (Snowbleached) has a natural warm white tone.

Furthermore, the raw materials of Kozo are homegrown and stewed with lye through a traditional boiling technique. Therefore, the fibers are strong and tough, and the quality is close to the Washi that are made back in Edo period.

Oguni Mulberry Paper (Snowbleached) has not applied with Dosa sizing, the colors might bleed while using it.

It is available in two different thicknesses.
8 monme = approx. 45-50g/m2, about 29-32g
10 monme = approx. 57-62g/m2, about 37-40g
