This ink stick is made so that the dispersion of carbon particles is constricted a little more than No. 54, 竹梅雙喜(Chikubaisoki, bamboo and plum tree, double joy), and it has an overall quiet tone with harmonized brightness made from combining bright carbon and redness (warmth) and white light (grace). The seiboku (blue ink stick) has a quiet but bright and gentle tone where the soft reddish blue opaqueness creates thickness and strength of the color of sumi harmonizing the shin (the core, the stroke by the brush) and the nijimi ( blurring around the edge of the stroke). In three years (three winters), the composition of the ink stick will converge to make the separation of the shin and nijimi more distinctive and the tone of sumi more emphasized. After that, as the years go by, its properties and characteristics will develop. Manufactured in 1985.
