This ink stick is made so that the dispersion of carbon particles is constricted to create a quiet impression harmonized with the lightness and strength featuring warmth and grace with white light and red. This is a seiboku (blue ink stick) of a quiet bluish black color with a little lightness, creating an opaque, rich, and strong complex tone of reddish bluish purple. As the years go by, the ink stick also grows and its properties and characteristics will develop remarkably. This 杏林春燕 (kyorinshun-en, apricot forest spring swallow) has been developed for the process of production for the past few years. We look forward to the changes and the possibility of expressing the color of an old Ink Stick. Manufactured in 1988.
