Description
By thinking about the animal glue to bring out a strong three-dimensionality (separation of the core and bleeding), we added a slight muddiness (opaqueness) to provide thickness and strength to the color. For the light ink stick, it is a red brown purple-type color with warmth unique to raw pine ink stick. It is a different sort of black that expresses a strong three-dimensionality that brings out the feeling of the former ink stick. For the thick ink stick, it is a refined black with thickness, a strong shade of black, and a slight redness. It has no luster. For kanji and kana, the amount of bleeding becomes extremely small for thick, medium, and light ink sticks. As it gets older, we believe the ink stick calms in color, and its three-dimensionality, sharpness, personality, and features grow stronger. Manufactured in 1991
