Description
Kumohada Mashi (Kumohada Hemp Paper ) has been a favorite of great modern Nihonga artists such as Taikan Yokoyama and Seiho Takeuchi, and is also widely used in modern Japanese paintings.
Kumo, means cloud, and Hada means skin in Japanese. The origin of the name inspired by soft, cloud-like texture seen on the surface of handmade washi.
Kumohada Mashi has a fairly smooth paper surface, with a firm thickness and flexibility that allows you paint and color easily.
Two types of Kumohada Mashi are available, with or without Dosa sizing (technique for preventing color bleeds).
Please choose the one that best suits your needs.
