ビビットな色と煌めき「INTENZA」

Vivid Colors and Shimmering INTENZA

Among the pigments that PIGMENT TOKYO carries, there are some rare ones that you cannot find in most art supply stores.

One of them is the INTENZA series.

All of these pigments meet the standards of the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration). Therefore, these allow you to enjoy the vivid colors of organic pigments and the shimmer of pearlescent while maintaining a high level of safety.

Moreover, the proportion of heavy metals contained in the pigments is set to the global standard and environmental issues are also taken into careful consideration.

Let's take a closer look at the pigments before adding any mediums.

INTENZA was originally developed for use in cosmetics.

Therefore, the vivid tones of the pigments are rather unique and uncommon from those specially made for art-making.

Mica is the core base material of the pigments and it creates a high degree of saturation and design color.

Since the particle size is rightly fine, these pigments are suitable for making most kinds of paints that also produce smoothness when you draw fine lines and color detailed areas.

Furthermore, INTENZA pigments are easy to mix with mediums compared to other types.

The particles of effect pigments are fine and lightweight in general, therefore, I assume many of you may struggle a little while making paints with them.

In contrast, the INTENA series has a very high dispersion rate compared to other pigments and because of that, you only need to stir them to blend well with mediums.

Of course, any binder works effectively with these pigments.

You can select according to your painting styles and techniques, such as animal glue, acrylic emulsions, oil-based mediums and so on, to make your paints.

In addition to that, you can apply it by spraying it to make plastic models or craftwork too.

All right, without further ado, let's make some paints!

Medium: Gum Arabic Medium

Substrate: Bamboo Washi for Watercolor Art Pad

The richness of INTENZA pigments is keeping the color intensity like lake pigments while giving silky smoothness to the painting surfaces.

Paint-making is not the only way to use these colors, because the great thing is you can add these pigments to other paints out of the usual pre-made paint tubes to have more variety of colors.

Please note that the sheen will fade if you add too much titanium white into the mixture, so remember to adjust the portion during the color mixing.
