Description
Natural mineral pigments are the pigments made by pulverizing minerals such as azurite, malachite and cinnabar. From the same mineral, it is divided into 10 different scale from 5(coarse) to 13(powdered), according to the particle size, with “ byaku(白)” being the finest powdered form. The color tone also changes depending on the particle size; the coarser the particle size becomes, the darker the color becomes, and it becomes lighter as the particle size becomes finer. Since each has different particle diameter and specific gravity, it is mainly used as a single color.
