As the name has shown, natural pigments are the pigments made of ground natural ores which the color tone is mutated
On the contrary, Shin-iwa pigments (artificial pigment) are made of ground colored synthetic pigments. Modern color of Shin-iwa pigments has the sense of Japanese elegance, but also perfect for gorgeous expressions.
By comparing the same color of Gunjo, we can see the difference.
While the texture of natural pigments are rough, the Shin-iwa pigments produces matte texture and color.
