As the lab which pursue “the expression of color and materials”, PIGMENT TOKYO have offered lectures and workshops regarding “color” from various perspectives beyond the theme of techniques and materials.
In the “Color Theory for Beginners” workshop, you will be able to understand the structure of color and its effect through the combination of lecture and hands-on workshop.
Have you heard of the “color wheel”?
The color wheel is a circular diagram that represents the relationships between colors.
The colors we see every day are roughly divided into three colors, the primary colors that includes red, blue and yellow.
Also, hue, brightness and saturation are important elements to understand the colors. In this workshop, we will be explaining step by step so that everyone can understand the colors.
Also, colors can create a various harmony depending on its combination.
We will provide practical contents with the collage of color papers for you to experience the relative position of colors.
This workshop consists of four different workshops; with each has different topics to provoke your sense of colors.
This is for anyone who is interested in the science of colors, who want to utilize the aesthetic sense of colors to their businesses, and also professional creators who work in different areas.
PIGMENT will offer a time to appreciate the “colors”, which we naturally see in everyday life. The space with full of various materials will surely stimulate your creativity and give you an inspiration.

This workshop is held in 4 different days from 7pm to 8pm.
Part 1 January, 16th（Wed）「Structure of Colors」
Part 2 January, 30th（Wed）「Color Mixing」
Part 3 February, 13th（Wed）「Contrast」
Part 4 February, 27th（Wed）「Color and Shape」
※For this workshop, only payment in full is accepted (12,000 JPY).
You cannot join the workshop from part 2 or later.
